The State caucuses are part of the national process of nominating the Republican candidate for President. The process culminates with the Republican National Convention during the week of September 1-4, 2008 in Minneapolis, MN. Here delegates will help nominate the Republican Candidate for President of the United States. Alaska will send 26 Pledged Delegates-at-large to the Republican National Convention along with 3 RNC Member Delegates, for a total of 29 Alaska Delegates. This gives Alaska 2 percent of the Delegates attending the National Convention.

Rudy Giuliani has dropped out of the race but still remains on the ballot with Mike Huckabee, John McCain, Mitt Romney and Ron Paul.
